Filippi Blade & Oarlock Pitch Gauge Kit
A precision toolset to set and verify oar blade pitch at the Concept2-recommended measurement point (8 cm / 3.15 in from the blade edge) using either a magnetic digital angle gauge (0.01° resolution) or an analog angle template. The angle plate also works as an oarlock pitch gauge.
Blade pitch setting (two methods in one tool)
Lock the blade clamp frame securely to the oar blade using the rubber-coated clamps. The built-in 80 mm offset probe positions the measurement point exactly where Concept2 recommends taking blade pitch, ensuring consistency across sessions and across different oars.
From there you can choose your preferred reading method:
- Digital method (maximum accuracy): attach the magnetic digital angle gauge to the lower arm for a highly precise reading (down to 0.01°).
- Analog method (fast, no electronics): mount the angle reference plate on the frame and read the pitch using the index pointer and degree scale (whole-degree increments).
Oarlock pitch setting
The angle reference plate is also a standalone tool: place it directly on the oarlock and use the pointer + bubble level + degree scale to set oarlock pitch quickly and repeatably.
